Two nominations for Master of Swiss Apps 2026

Two apps we have worked on are nominated for Master of Swiss Apps 2026: the app for the ZURIGA T2 espresso machine and Wiser eSetup by Feller. We are proud of this, not least because of the companies behind them. ZURIGA builds its espresso machines in its own manufactory in Zurich, and Feller's light switches have long enjoyed cult status in Switzerland. Being able to extend the product range of these two Swiss design icons with digital applications is a particular pleasure for us.

What the two apps have in common is that they carry the design of their devices forward: at ZURIGA, the dot display and the formal language of the machine; at Feller, the colours in which the switches on the wall light up. And both are connected apps. They control hardware, and their impact does not stay on the screen. The result is an espresso in the cup or a home in which lights, blinds and heating do what they are supposed to. These are exactly the kind of projects we love.

From 143 submissions, the Best of Swiss Apps expert jury selected ten projects for the highest award. The title is decided in equal parts by the expert jury, the readers of the Netzticker newsletter and the audience at the Award Night. The readers' vote runs from 19 to 25 October, and the Award Night takes place on 11 November at the Kongresshaus Zürich.

ZURIGA

Zuriga App

The ZURIGA T2 deliberately does without a touchscreen. Coffee and steam are started on the machine; everything else is handled by the app, which we designed together with ZURIGA and developed for iOS and Android. It ranges from ready-made brew profiles to pressure and flow profiling, shows every shot as a live curve and records in the Brew History how target and actual values differ.

Wiser eSetup

Feller Wiser eSetup App

With Wiser eSetup, electricians commission Wiser installations by Feller. We created the UX and design for the app, which was redeveloped in 2026. In “Find me” mode, the switches pulse throughout the home, and pressing an illuminated button assigns the device in the app. The result is a tested installation and PDF documentation for the residents.

Teena, the app for the cycle thermometer by VE Valley Electronics, already won the Master title in 2022. There, too, the app was the link between device and people. We congratulate ZURIGA and Feller on their nominations and thank both teams for the close collaboration. On 11 November, we will be at the Kongresshaus.
