Caravan24

With Caravan24, over 3,000 listings on the Swiss market for motorhomes and caravans can be browsed quickly and with precision: on iOS and Android, from private sellers and more than 100 specialist dealers. The app shares its foundation with its sibling Boat24 and brings the same proven search experience to the caravan market.

Many purchasing decisions in the caravan market are the result of patient, often weeks-long research into a constantly changing supply. The app is built for this behaviour: saved searches can be set up and browsed like a feed, keeping users close to the market without having to actively look. A bottom action bar holds all saved searches, optimally positioned for the thumb and ready for quick access.

Never miss a deal

The search can be narrowed down precisely with vehicle-specific filters (by type, layout, price or year), then saved as a search subscription and picked up again on the next visit. Custom notifications make sure no newly listed dream vehicle goes unnoticed.

One foundation, two marketplaces

Caravan24 is not built from scratch. The app sits on Boat24's codebase: rather than developing everything anew, we defined a separate build flavour with its own colours and brand identity, on the same proven foundation. That significantly shortened the path to a finished app.

Technically, Caravan24 is a Flutter app that embeds an internal WebView for specific areas such as login; the web and native layers communicate through a JavaScript bridge. Because only the requested URL can be read reliably from within a WebView, the server returns the token directly in the URL via a redirect after a successful login. The native app reads it there and stores it. The username and password themselves are never saved.
