Solid wood to measure, configured in the browser

Reseda crafts customisable solid wood furniture in Winterthur, Canton of Zurich. For their new website, we developed the central web app: a configurator with up to ten dimensions per piece of furniture, adjustable fluidly in the browser. Reseda's typography, colour palette and visual language are woven throughout.

The furniture takes shape as you configure

Every change immediately updates the visualisation. The display is an isometric 2D view, built with Rive rather than a conventional 3D engine — clear, performant and precise in its proportions. The web app was developed with React; Kirby CMS serves as the content backend. The system covers 9 furniture categories and over 50 models, each with its own parameters. In close collaboration with Reseda, all pieces were digitised and prepared for the configurator.

What you see is what you get

A solid wood wardrobe to measure is not an impulse purchase. Those who configure it online need confidence that the final product will look exactly as expected. The true-to-scale visualisation provides this assurance. Every configuration change immediately updates the price. No form, no waiting for a quote — the calculation happens in real time.

From configurator to cart

The e-commerce flow begins where the configurator ends. Directly from the experience, users can place an order or submit a consultation request. Configurations can be saved to a wish list to return to later or to compare variants.

IP protection by design

Behind the isometric view there is no exportable 3D model. This was a deliberate requirement: the furniture cannot be extracted from the browser, measured or reverse-engineered. Rive generates a visual representation, not geometry. Intellectual property protection is built directly into the visualisation strategy.
