Datatrans Mobile SDK

The Datatrans Mobile SDK, which we conceived and designed, offers app developers an extremely simple way of integrating the complete payment functionality into their app without having to think about the optimum user experience themselves.

A seamless user experience

Milk was assigned to manage the design of the SDKs. As we did so, we respected the differing characteristics of the iOS and Android platforms to offer users an experience that looked and felt like what they were used to. The mobile SDKs offer a meaningful degree of customization to enable them to be matched to the retailer’s corporate identity. Of course, dark mode versions are also available.

By reducing the number of clicks or taps to the absolute minimum, we ensured that users are always able to complete the payment process or to return to one of the previous steps as quickly and easily as possible. Fluid animations and transitions keep the focus on the required user input and ensure it can be entered without distractions or interruptions. As a result, the checkout process is seamless for the user and conversion at checkout is improved.

One-tap checkouts

A dedicated user interface is provided for the handling of saved payment methods. This allows retailers to store customers' payment information as a secure, PCI-compliant token and to enable subsequent purchases with a single click or tap.

Pay directly in the app

Datatrans makes it easier for retailers and e-commerce developers to connect to a range of payment methods, including debit and credit card payments (and the integration of acquiring banks), TWINT, PostFinance Card, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay and many more.

With the Datatrans SDKs for iOS and Android, retailers have access to two libraries for the fast and intelligent integration of payment and tokenization processes into native app projects via Datatrans. The SDKs provide a superior and fluid user experience for payment via an app, while retailers and e-commerce developers benefit from modern, simple implementation.

The Mobile SDKs are already used and trusted by a number of Datatrans customers, including SBB, Smood and Selecta. Almost one million transactions per month and rising are processed via the SDKs using a wide range of payment methods.
